Position Summary: As a school physical therapist, you will provide specialized services to students with disabilities or injuries that affect their ability to participate fully in educational activities. Working as part of the educational team, you will assess students' physical abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement interventions to help students achieve their educational goals and maximize their participation in school-related activities.
Responsibilities
Assessment
Adaptations and equipment management
Use of best practices to improve students’ motion and mobility
Develop IEP goals and objectives
Create fitness and wellness-oriented programs tailored to students’ specific needs
Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based therapy
Consult and collaborate with school team members
Document therapy sessions and progress monitoring

Qualifications:
Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
Certification from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or eligibility for certification
State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a physical therapist
