Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified School Nurse Nyman Associates is seeking compassionate, self-directed, and organized individuals to assist students with everyday medical needs.
Position Summary:As an school nurse you will be responsible for coordinating, collaborating, planning for, and, in most cases, providing direct services to ensure that the school district’s health program, as defined by the state’s School Code, School District Policies, and the state’s Dept. of Health Division of School Health Regulations is carried out according to the specifics of the law.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct services to students
Medication administration
First aid and emergency response
Preventative care
Documentation of all services
Collaboration with all school team members
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)
Current state Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of practice or Registered Nurse (RN)
Department of Education certification (if applicable)
CPR/AED certification
Experience in pediatric nursing, school nursing, or a related field (Preferred)
