Position Summary: As a Reading Specialist, you support students' literacy development and promote reading proficiency within the school community. Utilizing your expertise in reading instruction and intervention, you collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to assess students' reading abilities, implement evidence-based instructional strategies, and provide targeted interventions to address reading difficulties.
Responsibilities include:
Assessment and instructional planning
Small group instruction
Intervention and remediation
Parent/Caregiver education
Data analysis and progress monitoring
Collaboration with all team members
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Reading Education, Literacy Instruction, or a related field from an accredited program
Certification as a Reading Specialist or Reading/Literacy Coach, or eligibility for certification(Required)
Experience working as a reading specialist, literacy coach, or in a similar role within a school setting
