Position Summary:
As a school-based COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) to support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing abilities, and overall independence in the school environment.
Responsibilities include:
• Implementing therapy plans developed by supervising OTs
• Supporting students’ functional skill development in academic and daily activities
• Assisting with environmental modifications to promote access and independence
• Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records
• Collaborating with OTs, teachers, parents, and other professionals as part of the student support team
Qualifications:
• Valid state license/certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Access to personal transportation is a plus
