Position Summary As a Behavioral Consultant (ABA) in a school setting, you will provide behavior assessment, consultation, and intervention services to support students with behavioral challenges and developmental disabilities. You will collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to develop and implement behavior intervention strategies, provide training and guidance to staff, and track progress to promote positive student outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting behavioral assessments and observations to inform intervention strategies
Developing and monitoring individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
Providing consultation, training, and support to school staff and families
Analyzing behavioral data and making data-driven recommendations
Collaborating with interdisciplinary school teams to support student success
Ensuring interventions align with evidence-based ABA practices
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a mental health field (Required)
Minimum of one year of experience in behavior modification and interventions
Licensed Behavior Specialist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Counselor (Preferred)
At least 12 credits in the provision of ABA services from a college or university or at least one year of full-time experience under the supervision of a BCBA and 40 hours of training in ABA (Required)
Experience in an educational or school-based setting (Preferred)
