What You’ll Do

As a School Physical Therapist, you will support students with disabilities or injuries by improving mobility, physical functioning, and participation within the educational environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assess students’ physical abilities and mobility needs
  • Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
  • Provide school-based physical therapy interventions and services
  • Support student participation in classroom and school activities
  • Implement interventions to improve motion, strength, balance, and mobility
  • Develop IEP goals and objectives
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
  • Create fitness and wellness programs tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary school teams
  • Document therapy sessions and monitor student progress
  • Deliver evidence-based, student-centered therapy services

What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • APTA certification or eligibility preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred
  • Passion for supporting students and school communities
