Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Nyman Associates is seeking compassionate, self-directed, and organized Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to assist students with accessing the educational setting. Position Summary:As a school occupational therapist, you will work with students with physical, developmental, or cognitive challenges impacting their ability to participate in school activities. You will assess students' functional abilities, provide therapy services to address areas of need, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic success and independence. Responsibilities
Adaptations and accommodations
Use of best practices to improve students’ fine motor and sensory processing
Develop IEP goals and objectives with supervising OT
Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based therapy
Consult and collaborate with school team members
Document therapy sessions and progress monitoring
Qualifications:
Degree in occupational therapy assisting from an accredited program.
Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) or eligibility for certification.
State licensure or eligibility for licensure as an occupational therapist.
